Terms & Conditions
Welcome to Sumo Sensei. We are dedicated to providing an authentic and respectful immersion into Japan’s national sport. Our terms are built on transparency and a shared commitment to honoring the wrestlers and the sacred traditions of the sumo ring.
Website Use & Conduct
Welcome to the Sumo Sensei website. By interacting with our digital platform, you are agreeing to the standards of conduct and use outlined below. We aim to keep this space respectful of the deeply traditional culture of sumo while providing a seamless booking experience for our guests.
Intellectual Property
All material on this website, including but not limited to the photography of sumo stables, tournament insights, historical descriptions, and the Sumo Sensei logo, is the exclusive intellectual property of Sumo Sensei and our associated cultural partners. Users are prohibited from copying, distributing, or republishing this content without explicit written consent.
User Conduct & Prohibited Acts
To ensure the security and integrity of our booking system and cultural resources, users agree not to engage in any form of automated data gathering, scraping, or malicious interference with the site's functionality. We reserve the right to restrict access to any user found violating these common-sense digital standards.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
At Sumo Sensei, we strive to provide an intimate and authentic look into Japan's national sport. Because we keep our tour groups small and work closely with active sumo stables, last-minute cancellations significantly impact our operations and our relationships with the sumo community.
Standard Guided Tours
- 7+ days before departure: Full refund minus a 5% administrative processing fee.
- 3 to 6 days before departure: 50% refund of the total tour price.
- Within 48 hours of departure: No refund will be provided.
Grand Sumo Tournament Tickets
Please note that official Grand Sumo Tournament tickets are non-refundable once purchased. These tickets are issued by the Japan Sumo Association and we are unable to recoup the cost once the transaction is finalized.
Late Arrivals & No-Shows
Tours begin strictly at the scheduled time to ensure we do not disrupt stable training or miss tournament matches. Guests who arrive late or fail to show up at the designated meeting point will be considered 'no-shows' and are not eligible for a refund or rescheduling.
If you need to cancel or request a change to your booking, please contact Sumo Sensei as soon as possible via our contact form or official email address.
